Balaju Yantra Shala (BYS) has a pioneering history in Nepal’s Micro-Hydropower technology. Since manufacturing and installing a 5 kW Propeller Turbine at Godavari Fish Farm in 1962, BYS has developed turbine technology suited to Nepal’s terrain, water conditions, and local manufacturing capabilities.
BYS later pioneered the manufacturing of Cross-Flow Turbines, developing different models and improving their design for various head and flow conditions. Its experience also covers turbine manufacturing, site surveys, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Micro-Hydropower systems.
